Testosterone Propionate benefits of this steroid
What is Testosterone Propionate?
As stated in testosterone propionate or sports jargon, Propic is the most popular medicine among bodybuilders, known to almost everyone who considers the use of anabolic steroids to improve physical fitness or increase performance in sports. At the molecular level, the drug is a testosterone (active substance) that binds to propionate ether, its half-life is two to three days, and its testosterone concentration is 83.72 mg. At 100 mg.
The androgenic effect also has an anabolic effect. In target cells (skin, prostate, seminal vesicles, epididymis), it is reduced by 5-alpha-reductase to 5-alpha-dihydrotestosterone, which specifically interacts with receptors on the cell surface and penetrates the cell nucleus. In some tissues (including the hypothalamus) it is converted to estradiol.
In men, it stimulates the development and functioning of the gonads, prostate, seminal vesicles, the formation of secondary male characteristics (height, deep voice, beard and beard growth), increases libido and potency; indirectly, through the central nervous system, affects sexual behavior.
Reduces fat storage and excretion of trace elements.
It inhibits the production and release of luteinizing and follicle-stimulating hormone in the pituitary gland.
It has anabolic effects: contributes to skeletal growth, increases skeletal muscle mass; causes the retention of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and sulfur ions required for protein synthesis.
Product. Propionate is eliminated faster than other esters (kypionate, enanthate, decanoate, etc.), which makes it possible to start post-cycle therapy earlier, but doping tests can show a positive result up to 3 months. A similar drug is testosterone phenylpropionate, which lasts longer than a full day and has a concentration of 68.57 mg of active substance per 100 mg. drugs.
Testosterone Propionate is regular Testosterone with a propianate ester attached to it. The latter is a propionic acid combined with the 17-beta-hydroxyl group of the hormone through an ester bond. Esters of anabolic steroids are more soluble in fats and are released more slowly from the injection site. However, not only for this reason, the esters prolong the release of the steroid. The main reason is that when Testosterone propionate enters the bloodstream, it takes some time to break the ethereal bond.
Testosterone Propionate is one of the ester compounds of testosterone and one of the most important testosterone compounds ever made.
In addition to improving performance, testosterone propionate has found many therapeutic uses. However, as with all forms of testosterone, the treatment of male androgen deficiency such as low testosterone is always the most used point. In recent years, however, testosterone propionate has found other interesting options for treating menopausal symptoms, chronic cystic mastitis, excessive lactation, and endometriosis.
For a reasonable period of time, testosterone was the most widely used treatment in women, but it was largely banned by the US FDA with approval for female patients. It is still approved for men in the United States, but will be more prevalent in medical circles around the world.
Testosterone propionate differs little in its properties from other types of testosterone, except in the rate of release and half-life. The structure of the drug is not really different from the natural hormone produced in the human body and in most animal species. In this regard, testosterone is considered to be the safest steroid, as everyone’s body is accustomed to the effects of testosterone, albeit in smaller amounts.
Testosterone has moderate estrogenic activity and moderate affinity for the aromatase enzyme (responsible for converting testosterone to estrogen). Accordingly, a moderate level of aromatization should be expected when using testosterone, unless an aromatase inhibitor (eg Arimidex, Aromasin or Letrozole) is used concomitantly to block the conversion of testosterone to estrogen. Testosterone is therefore preferably used as a means of building muscle, but it can also be used in the stages of “drying” and burning fat. Finally, the use of some type of testosterone is essential in every cycle of anabolic steroids, at least to maintain the physiological function of testosterone in the body during the period when endogenous hormone production is suppressed or stopped due to steroid use. Testosterone also has a very strong anabolic effect and can be used on its own.
The best results can be achieved with a combined approach. This is especially true for bodybuilders who train their bodies to compete. Testosterone is normally combined with trenbolone acetate, anastrozole, nandrolone, and human growth hormone. With these preparations you can build the desired muscle mass in the shortest possible time (12 weeks). Although injections are often required, testosterone propionate does not harm the body, but only improves the quality.
There is a consensus among athletes and bodybuilders that testosterone propionate is the best testosterone option for use in the “drying” and fat burning phases. Many claim to retain less fluid in the body than other esterified forms of testosterone. Such claims are not supported by any scientific argument. As already explained, propionate ester (or any other ester associated with testosterone) is always cleaved by enzymes in the body so that 100% pure testosterone remains. This same natural hormone, testosterone, can function freely in the body and this applies to all esterified forms of the hormone. Thus, the only possible change associated with the addition of ether relates to the half-life and release rate. Obviously, there should be no other or minimal differences in the use of different forms of testosterone, as only the amount of hormone released into the bloodstream at a given time depends on the ester provided.
